Beneath the Chapel Lawn: A Celebration of the Berry College Chapel Cemetery 

The Daughters of Berry invite you to their annual spring picnic which includes a celebration for the completion of the Berry College Chapel cemetery project. This event is open to the entire Berry community and will feature remarks from Dr. Susan Bandy (70C) and musical entertainment will be provided by the Berry Tones. 

This initiative highlights the history of the 43 individuals honored with plots and markers on the north side of the chapel lawn. These community members made significant contributions to the success of the Berry schools from the earliest days of Martha Berry's vision. The project includes physical enhancements on the north lawn and a written monograph, both of which will bring attention to and focus on the chapel grounds. 

These efforts were made possible by the Daughters of Berry in partnership with the Berry College President's Office, Facilities Services, Historic Berry, Memorial Library, Berry Archives, and the Marketing and Communications Office.

WHEN: Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 6 p.m.

WHERE: College Chapel Lawn (Rain Location: Krannert Ballroom)

COST: Tickets are $25 each.
